Former Port Adelaide and GWS Giants utility Chad Cornes has revealed that he was continually sledging milestone man Brent Harvey when the Power and Kangaroos met two weeks ago.

Cornes, who is now the coach of the Port Adelaide Magpies, does the running for the Power when games do not clash and says that he said some things that shows he "still has some growing up to do"

"I just wished him all the best for his record breaking game this weekend, that was all," Cornes said with somewhat of a smug look.

"Decided to get involved in that and now looking back, not the right thing to do and it's probably not a great look for runners to be getting involved.

"So looks like I'm still learning to pull my head in and remind myself that I'm not a player."

Cornes will coach his Magpies in this weekend's SANFL showdown against the Crows.
