Port Adelaide defenders Alipate Carlile and Jack Hombsch have undergone surgery as they look to put a frustrating AFL season behind them.
Hombsch has had another hip operation, but on the opposite side to last summer's procedure.
The Power are hopeful he will be back in full training before Christmas.
Hombsch played the first 10 games this season, but has been out of action since.
Carlile has managed only two games this year and his operation was to repair a knee injury.
The Power forecast that Carlile will take about 12 weeks for a return to full training.
