Port Adelaide will be without three key members of their side when they come up against North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.
Brad Ebert will miss his first game for Port Adelaide since crossing from the Eagles five years ago, with the midfielder still recuperating from a heavy fall last week against Hawthorn.
Running defender Nathan Krakouer will miss the clash as he attends a family funeral, while defender Tom Jonas, who was said to come straight back into the side after serving his six match ban, has suffered hamstring soreness, with the club not taking any risks.
“Brad won’t play, which is a disappointing thing, but player welfare and safety first is the most important thing for us,” Power coach Ken Hinkley told RSN Radio.
“He trained [this week], but he got a really severe knock to his ribs and some bruising [on his lungs.]
“It’s not an area we’re going to risk, and Brad’s pushed hard to play because he hasn’t missed a game in his time at Port Adelaide.
“He’ll be a significant out for us.”
